PLANT STEROL · TARGETED PROSTATE FLOW
Beta-Sitosterol
The heaviest-hitting compound for immediate urinary performance. Backed by rigorous clinical studies, this plant sterol is scientifically proven to significantly improve IPSS and AUA symptom scores, maximize complete bladder emptying, and boost peak stream velocity. Rather than shrinking the gland itself, it targets the root of urinary blockages by rapidly reducing local prostate inflammation and edema (tissue swelling), while helping to manage the broader metabolic factors that disrupt nighttime sleep.*
What is Beta-Sitosterol?
Beta-sitosterol is one of the most common plant sterols, natural compounds with a structure similar to cholesterol. It is found in foods like nuts, seeds, avocados and vegetable oils. The beta-sitosterol in Targeted Prostate Flow comes from soy.
Why it's in Targeted Prostate Flow
Beta-sitosterol is backed by rigorous human research for urinary comfort in men. In clinical studies it significantly improved IPSS and AUA symptom scores, supported more complete bladder emptying and increased peak stream velocity. Rather than shrinking the gland itself, it works by reducing local prostate inflammation and edema.*
What the research shows
- Human research review (Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2000): A review of 4 double-blind trials with 519 men found beta-sitosterol improved urinary symptom scores by nearly 5 points and increased peak urine flow by about 4 mL per second compared with placebo. It did not shrink the prostate. The reviewers noted that long-term effects are not yet known.*
- Human clinical trial (The Lancet, 1995): In a 6-month, double-blind trial of 200 men, beta-sitosterol (60 mg a day) significantly improved urinary symptom scores and flow measures compared with placebo.*
Frequently asked questions
Does beta-sitosterol shrink the prostate?
No. In research, it improved urinary symptoms and flow without changing prostate size.*
Is the soy in Targeted Prostate Flow GMO?
No. Targeted Prostate Flow is certified Non-GMO.
