NATURAL SUGAR · URINARY TRACT WELLNESS

D-Mannose

D-Mannose is a simple sugar found naturally in fruits like cranberries, apples and peaches. It blocks E. coli from sticking to the lining of the bladder and urinary tract, so the bacteria are flushed out naturally when you urinate.*

What is D-Mannose?

D-Mannose is a simple sugar, closely related to glucose, that occurs naturally in fruits such as cranberries, apples, oranges and peaches. The body absorbs it but uses very little of it for energy, so much of it passes into the urine.*

How it works

Many common urinary tract bacteria, especially E. coli, use tiny hair-like structures to latch onto the bladder wall. Those structures bind to mannose. D-Mannose in the urine gives them something to bind to instead of the bladder lining, so they are flushed out naturally when you urinate.* This anti-adhesion action is non-antibiotic, and it supports ongoing bladder comfort, cellular defense and clean urinary tract health.*

What the research shows

  • Human research review (American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2020): A systematic review and meta-analysis found D-Mannose was highly protective against recurrent urinary tract concerns compared with placebo, with an effectiveness profile mirroring standard protocols.*
  • Human research review (Infection, 2025): A network meta-analysis of 50 randomized trials of non-antibiotic approaches found D-Mannose significantly reduced recurrence compared with placebo, ranking first among the options studied.*

How much is in each serving

Each scoop provides 941 mg of D-Mannose. Many studies used about 2 g a day, or roughly two scoops.

Frequently asked questions

What does D-Mannose taste like?

It has very little taste and leans slightly sweet. It mixes easily into water, tea, coffee or smoothies.

Is D-Mannose the same as cranberry?

No. Cranberries contain some D-Mannose, but they work mainly through different compounds. D-Mannose powder delivers a concentrated amount with no added sugar.
